Angelscourge are a relatively fresh Finnish Black Metal band, formed in 2012, who play the Swedish type of melodic Black Metal that was a prominent style back in the 90s. Bands like Naglfar, Lord Belial, Mörk Gryning, Unanimated, and, of course, Dissection were some of the pioneers in the vast field of Swedish Black Metal back in the day, inspiring many others to choose a similar style. The band visited the studio to lay down three tracks for this album "teaser" demo release to let everyone know that they are back after their promising 6-track debut album, Seraph Impaler, released in 2015. These songs are a tad more technical and melodic compared to the debut. When listening to this, it's Mörk Gryning's name that comes to mind, more specifically their 1995 album Tusen År Har Gått. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what they may have to offer up next. |
