The French Crossover thrashers' self-titled debut album from 2014 puts a big smile on a listener's face... The band has a fresh grip on things; they are pumped up with high-octane energy levels, they sound like a bunch of wildly going, crazy monkeys fighting over for some sweet bananas but, first and foremost, they make it all sound so easy, effortless and convincing, like they've been churning this shit out for ages. Verbal Razors' debut offers a hard kick straight in the middle on your face. The band is in sheer violent mode through the 33+ minutes duration of the album. It's bands like Verbal Abuse, Attitude Adjustment, M.O.D., D.R.I. and such that you are reminded of while spinning this stuff over and over. This is the kind of album that is fun to listen to. You want to go back to it over and over again, especially after a shitty day at work, or something else has pissed you off. Good 'n' friendly violent fun... |
