Thread for band (both old or new) recommendations...
« on: January 29, 2014, 02:36:20 PM »
As this world is full of Metal bands that we may never ever even hear of - without the help of outsiders, I decided to start this thread which main purpose is to let people know about some killer new and unknown Metal bands that are out there - and making some great Metal (being it Thrash, Death, Power, Black - or whatever Metal; as long as it's Metal it's all fine...).

For Thrash fans I would recommend to check out HELLCANNON from Buffalo, NY. They have just released a new video titled "Lost Cause".

Now feel free to make your own band recommendations to all of us. We are waiting to expand our own horizons further about some new - and probably yet unknown talents that are worth checking out.  8)

Black Hole (Italy) - This band is sort of a mix between Death SS. Dark Quarterer and Goblin. Really awesome stuff

An old thread that needs some new life, I guess...

Check out these young Finnish thrashers ANTABUS. This is a pretty wicked sounding Thrash act IMHO...

Grey Wolf.  Their debut Glorious Death is a prime slab of Ironsword/Omen styled metal.

Not sure if they're unknown or not. I noticed they don't have a review on the site for their music.
I'm speaking of an old school death metal band called Deathcult (Switzerland). They have two releases that I know of, one being a killer demo tape, go YouTube the track called "Deus Bonus Est" and you'll see how they incorporate masterfully some doom elements with excellent old school death from the Entombed camp of OSDM.
Haven't listened to their latest one more than a track yesterday but I'm sold on this band.
Not an old band, to clarify. Just old school.

does it have to be a new band (like in the 2010's) or old school (80's 90's)

I changed my topic a little bit... It can be either about old or new bands.

This was a killer recommendation... Now I just need to buy their albums from somewhere. Thanks Sargon!

If you love Finnish old school Death Metal - and missed Depravity when they first existed in the early 90's, here's your 2nd chance to enjoy them... (they will support Incantation here in Finland this Friday).

Scum.  They were a Finnish Death Metal band from the 90's, and their second album, Purple Dreams and Magic Poems (translation issues, maybe?), is one of the more inventive and atmospheric albums you will find in the genre.

They have 2 other album before that one
