Upcoming Albums
« on: December 01, 2013, 04:51:35 PM »
To save confusion and space, this thread is for any albums you are looking forward to, regardless of the year (we all have Sirliftsalot to thank for the idea ). Battleroar, Pyramaze, and Behemoth all have upcoming albums that I'm eager to hear. How about the rest of you?

So far for what 2014 has to offer I am looking forward mostly to the new Woods of Desolation and Vektor albums.

The new Woods of Desolation song was incredible and Vektor are more than likely to unleash another masterpiece on us.

Can't wait for the new Battleroar with Gerrit!

New Dark Forest (UK) album too,

Also hear rumblings that Brazil's DragonHeart is working on a new album also.

New Dark Forest (UK) album too,
I hope it's much better than their last.  I really liked their debut, but their most recent was poppy and annoying.

New album from Alcest due to land January 17th next year which should be nice.

New albums from Agalloch and Gallowbraid are supposed to be happening also.

Well, considering how awful the single is and how the band stated they were trying to get away from a metal sound, it probably won't be as nice as you would like.

Ah that's a shame, I'll still have a curiosity listen when it comes out regardless.

I never quite got the hype about Alcest, I checked their album out from a couple of years back that everyone was pitching a tent over, thought it was a load of shite.

Not all that much I'm excited about for 2014 as of yet, I've already heard the new Persuader. I guess I'll be keen to hear the new Primal Fear (although the single was dull), and new Anubis Gate should be good whenever it drops.

I did have a slight glimmer of hope for the new Stormwarrior, but their latest track doesn't do much to fan the flames. Where's the fast, guys!?

Alcest are post-rock garbage.

I thought that song was pretty cool in places, I hope there are some fast songs on the album as well though.

""It's for sure the most riff-based album in many years, and there are certainly some furious moments of brow raising on the album."

After reading this it makes me wonder if they might pay tribute to their Mithotyn days in some form, either way I look forward to the "brow raising moments" the album is supposed to bring!
