Dark Moor Hall of the Olden Dreams

I forget what a solid album this is.

Agreed one of my favorite power metal albums of all time!

I wouldn't say essential, but out of the morass of samey-sounding Power Metal from the turn of the century, it still holds up.

I would say more essential then Lost Horizon, everyone seems to think they are the pinnacle of that era and i never saw the draw.

Flame to the Ground Beneath is still one of the top 5 Power Metal albums ever made.

Daniel Heiman is an amazing vocalist. I don't think that the music on the album is up to par with his singing, which is some of the best that I've heard.

Both Lost Horizon albums are excellent, and A Flame to the Ground Beneath is a classic. Unlike Wintersun I would definitely support a crowdfunding for them to do a new album in the same vein as their other two.

Dark Moor I could never get into. I wouldn't deny their status though.

Obviously a matter of personal taste but I find Flames to the Ground Beneath to be uneven. I really like some songs while finding others boring. Some of the Power Metal albums I can always go back to; Helloween - Walls of Jericho, Scanner - Hypertrace, Serenity - Death & Legacy, Ancient Bards - The Alliance of the Kings.

Havok - Conformicide

Been listening to this nonstop since it showed up on google music. Been looking forward to this for the last couple of months. It does not disappoint. In my opinion the best of the new era thrash bands out there. I am however a HUGE fan of Pete Webber...his work on the drums in insanely good. Will probably have a gushing review done in a couple of days
