I love the early albums but after Crusader nothing has really excited me all that much.

Metalhead and Killing Ground are both good.  Lionheart is probably their best.

Yeah, I read your review but it still didn't ring the bell for me. I think this is a case of when I got into them (Power and the Glory) and them sounding different on later albums. Not bad, but not what I initially like them for. Same with bands like Fates Warning. I KNOW the post-Arch stuff is well liked but I don't care for it. I'm not saying it is bad, just it isn't for me.

I like both of the eras of Fates Warning equally, though for very different reasons.  Though from A Pleasant Shade of Gray onward they have just not really been worth listening to, sadly.

I really liked their last album. It was more focused and had better hooks than the previous few. But yeah, they were never really the same after A Pleasant Shade of Gray.

I love all their stuff up to A Pleasant Shade Of Grey, including Inside Out, which is pretty underrated, but I just don't understand Grey at all. I've heard people refer to it as a masterpiece, but I'm like, eh? Am I missing something? It's mainly one chord progression and some hushed vocals and that's it.

Went to see Black Sabbath's last show to a local movie theater last night w/ my wife (which was just tons of fun to watch by the way) - and simply couldn't resist placing an order for this after the movie experience:
