Why would it be? His solo stuff sounds nothing like anything Maiden has ever done.

i agree, but - its more the idea behind it.

More radio friendly?  Have you been listening?
Yeah, radio loves songs that drone on for 9 minutes at a time  :idiot:

i'll admit, "The Legacy" is a long song that probably wouldnt get radio airplay, but - Different Worlds, and.... (fuck - i cant remember the other songs >_<) whatever. a lot of the Brave New World songs seemed that way too.

i dunno - maybe its just me, but - its definitely not the same as the Maiden of old...

Dude, the Maiden of old was millions of times more radio friendly. Two Minutes to Midnight? Run to the Hills? Can I Play With Madness? etc etc etc

wat? The new Maiden is far from radiofriendly.... The legacy was long? Several of the other songs from that album was 7+ minutes. I actually here 1980-1989 Maiden era on the radio quite a bit.

>_<

Maiden of Old was supposed to refer to Paul DiAnno era... but with X factor and Virtual XI, they really got away from standard song structure...

Radio Friendly was probably the worst way of saying what i wanted to.

i dunno - maybe i just confused "not liking their new stuff as much as the old" with "diminishing greatness".

i will say - that i remember jack from the new album save Different Worlds, Reincarnation... Breeg, and The Legacy. All i can really remember about it was i really didnt care for the album. i dunno

Saw Incantation last Friday

How were they?  They're playing here on Friday, I don't know if I'm gonna go yet (I don't like the bar where they're playing.)

They played a great set, very tight and all, but the show I went to sucked a little due to there only being like 60 people there ( it started at 1 so that may have had something to do with it).

I don't remember what's the capacity of the bar they're playing here, but it's a pretty small place.  But it's on a Friday night, so they should have a decent turn out.

Man, I'm tired. I ache. I've lost my voice, and have crazy foot blisters from a near 6 mile round walk from the car park....

BUT... I saw Maiden last night, and man did they kick all kinds of ass. Best I've ever seen them.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner / Moonchild combo =

Sleep now I must....   :tired:

I'll be seeing Slough Feg at the end of this month.  It'll be my first show since moving to Los Angeles and the first time I see this band.  I'm fucking excited!

I don't respect the band very much, but holy crap am I hyped for the Metallica show tonight. Walked into Kirk Hammet yesterday. He seems like a nice guy.
