Kamelot - Ghost Opera

I didn't keep up with 2007 very well. I still haven't heard the new Candlemass or Kamelot and a few other major ones. Here's a short list off the top of my head:
Slough Feg - Hardworlder
Doomsword - My Name Will Live On
Holy Martyr - Still at War
Icy Steel - Icy Steel
Crystal Viper - The Curse of the Crystal Viper
Saxon - The Inner Sanctum

I remember Sargon posting this in the "Current Playlist" thread followed by something like:
which is similar to the way he reacted to Icy Steel, so I think I'll check this out. I just checked them out on MySpace and then realized that they had added me as a friend a short while back. I really need to pay more attention to these bands.

I haven't bought a lot of records from this year, it's a weak year compared to 2006, but then again so is most years.
I like these:
Iron Man - Submission
Runemagick - Dawn of the End
Minotauri - II
Alabama Thunderpussy - Open Fire
Therion - Gothic Kabbalah
I am a bit dissapointed at the Candlemass though, even if I need to give more time...
I've recently bought these but have'nt had time to give a chance yet, I hope that they will turn out to be great
Centurions Ghost - The Great Work
Leather Nun - Tools of the New Church
Lost Breed - Wino Daze
The Hidden Hand - The Resurrection of Whiskey Foote
The Wizard of Doom - His Eternal Rage of Inner Nature
Wall of Sleep - ...And Hell Followed With Him

These are the albums that I've actually heard this year and yeah, they stand out.
I have a lot of catching up to do though especially since I haven't heard any of the new Heavy Metal albums.
One album that's missing from your list, sirliftsalot, is the new Dekapitator.
Matthew, I'm seeing all your top ones this year are Doom, save for three.
Sargon's given a few 4's and 5's this year, it'd be interesting to see his list.

I didn't forget it, it's not a death metal album like the other albums I was mentioning. It is damn good thrash album. Am I the only one that didn't find Hardworlder that great?
