If we count out my university readings (which are various articles on the Idea Of America and books by Cooper, Steinbeck and Twain) I am reading "The Wizard Of Earthsea" by Ursula LeGuin - a great mix of fantasy and a "coming of age"-tale with elements of Taoist philosophy. But that is a classic and probably most people know it...
Also reading Anthony Swofford's "Jarhead" which is great because of the a-typical structure and contents for a military book.

I know, I personally don't like it as much as A Time to Kill, but it's better than the other book I've read by him - The Last Juror. Does anything he's done touch ATTK? Motorhead - Whorehouse Blues

I'd say "most of them". I'd have to check though - I read most of his stuff years ago. An interesting, but very different one by him is "The Painted House". Nothing to do with lawyers (I didn't know that - I saw his name and bought it), and it took me a few chapters to get into it, but at some point I was hooked. Interesting. I'm still digging into his catalogue here - got The Street Lawyer as well. After that perhaps I will check out his non-law books. On a completely unrelated note, I'll be reading The Kite Runner soon. BLAZE - Hollow Head

It possibly could, but I'm not sure.

I read that one when it came out.... Must have been at least good since I don't have any bad memories of it. Two other page-turning authors are Tom Clancy and Patricia Cornwell. I like almost all of their stuff (Cornwell has a couple of stinkers.) Sacristy - Masters of Baphometic Devastation
