Chrome Division
« on: August 05, 2006, 05:12:09 PM »

Anyone else heard this band? It's a side project of Shagroth but it is as far away from Dimmu as you could possibly get. There is such a heavy Motorhead influence you would think Lemmy wrote some of the songs. Nothing amazing or groundbreaking here but damn is this album filled with hooks. If you haven't heard this here are a couple of clips...

Heard some of it - good rock'n'roll with a metal crunchiness to it. The Motorhead influence is obvious and some Black Label Society moments as well not to mention it has also a stoner quality to it - it was a nice listen and if someone likes rock'n'roll on steroids it might be a good buy...

cool cool. What's with ex black metallers doing the Motorhead thing. ?Sounds like Witchery, Motorhead, Bombers...

Not knocking it..I kinda dig it.Better than Dimmu Borgir..Shagrath should stick to this..Or maybe join Justin Timberlake on his next Truck Stop Manlove tour..I hope Dimmu becomes defunct.Really hope they don't make another..ahem..album..But Mouse digresses
Yup.

Funny thing with this black metal- Motorhead trend - most black metallers like Lemmy and Co. very much. As for Shagrath - Dimmu always seemed as a poor excuse for a black metal band in my ears so he doing Chrome Divison is just right up my alley...

Anyways - a good CD to check out...

I recently got a copy of their album and think it's pretty cool stuff.

Yeah - they smoked some joints drank some Johnny Walker and just rock away - I love when a stoner/rock/metal/Motorhead-like band give me that feeling of authencity in their music...
