It's going to be another while before the next update. I bought a new PC this week, and I was expecting the old one to last a little longer while I set up everything on this one, but it died this morning (the old one.) It suffered a power surge two weeks ago and it has finally passed away. Anyway, installing all the software I use to manage the site is going to take a while, so I don't know when the next update will be... Could be tonight, could be in a couple of days. Despite having a new toy, the nice weather outside is appealing.
And for the hardware freaks, here's what I got:
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
- ASUS P5B Premium Vista Edition motherboard
- 2Gb of Kingston RAM
- ASUS EN8600GTS 256Mb graphics card
- Western Digital Raptor 150Gb 10000 RPM HD
- Western Digital 500Gb 7200 RPM HD
- Two LG DVD burners
- Bad ass mid-tower case (this thing has three 120mm fans, you probably need to anchor it so it won't take off)
- Seasonic 550W 80 Plus power supply (80 Plus = energy efficient)
- Winblows Vista Ultimate
I also cannibalized another 500Gb HD from the old one, as well as a card that adds a couple of USB ports (USB = prime real estate.)
How many coins did all this cost you? I'm budgeting for a new computer myself right now that's why I ask.
Also, how loud is your case?
