I'm listening on Pandora right now and War of Worlds [Live] just came on. I remember hearing it on Pandora once before and I liked it then but I didn't think to look who it was. Now that I know who it is, I want to know what other people think of them. I'm going to buy at least one of their CDs to check them out but I want some opinions - which is their best? I see there are some reviews for them here and they're all high ratings but they're also all from the same person. What do you think?

I really like that band. I donīt really like their earlier production or their new album, so I will recommend one of these:

- Unity (2002)
- Soundchaser (2003)
- From the Cradle to the Stage (2004) (2CD-Live)

P.S. Pandora?

Thanks.

Pandora is an online radio. You tell it bands and songs you like and it tries to find other stuff you might like. As a song plays, you can also tell it if you like it or not. I've found out about some bands I never knew of before with it. It sometimes plays crap I don't like and I have to skip it and you only get a certain number of skips per hour but if you get your station how you like it, it can be pretty good. The more you tell it what you like and don't like, the better it will be at picking music for you.

I strongly reccomend the middle-Rage period where they mixed melody, power and some thrashing oomph...

Reccomended discs are:

- "Trapped!"
- "End Of All Days"
- "Black In Mind"

and from the earlier days shoot for "Perfect Man" - it has one of the most amazing songs EVER in "Don't Fear The Winter" - with a video shoot in....Poland!

Smolski is a master of cool licks. "Speak of the dead" is definitely worth getting if you don't mind excessive prog wankery.

Rage is a great band and there really isn't anything in their career you can go wrong with. I prefer the Victor Smolski era as well though...He is a absolutely brilliant guitarist

Unity
Soundchaser
From The Cradle

Just getting into the band the live album would probably be a good choice as it is more of a greatest hits collection. The sound isnt really the best but it is certainly worth owning.

I got Unity recently. Amazingly catchy, riffy shit, exactly what I wanted. You won't be able to stop listening to some of these.  ylsuper
