I throw out a lot of factoids and opinions in reviews, and I'm sure that a lot of times my facts are incomplete or just wrong, since I wasn't there to observe events directly.  That's happened a few times, and I've been corrected.  But I never expect to get something like this in my email.

Hi, my 11 year old son and I were reading your review of Helstars Noseferatu record('89) from the Metal Crypt page on the web.
You gave it a great review, a really great review actually.
Larry Barragan is a great guitarist, but I played my heart and soul into that record too, and made an impact on the album for sure, I was suprised to be forgotten there. No offense, I am very happy with all the kind things you said about that record. My son was encouraging me to chime in and claim responsibility for my guitar work on Noseferatu, hes proud of his dad.

aaaah i know where you're coming from Andre, i've been left out a couple of times when people talk about my band's music. But its so weird, I (the keyboardist) sit and compose EVERYTHING (riffs, bass lines, keys and even the bloody drums) and get almost no credit for it at all, yes it can be frustrating, and it's the reason the band has split up (note my avatar  )

I've never heard Helstar, but for what it's worth, good job!

'Run with the pack' is, hands down,  the best song ever written. Rivera could belt in out rock solid, but on 'Multiples of Black' his voice is just plain weird.  Or was it Nosferatu? I can't remember which came out first.

And yeah, not knowing Helstar is...pitiful.

I've heard them. In fact I think Vibrations Of Doom has them. Which they do, here and here.
