Just got back from seeing this. A very cool, very pretty movie with some great over-the-top violence. Anybody else see it yet?

Yeah I saw it. In IMAX. I really liked it, even though it had a very basic plot. The fight scenes where they just close in on one guy in slow motion were just awesome. Oh and after watching that movie I decided to start working out again. I have yet to implement that decision however.

I thought the fight scenes and special effects were awesome, but the dialog was laughable at best. Gabba Front Berlin/Hellseeker - Project: Enigma

I thought it sucked. Fight scenes were impressive the first time. Watching it again with my friends was a snorefest. The way they villainized the Persians was quite shit too. This movie was like ALEXANDER on steroids. Twice as gay, though. I can't wait to get flamed for this.

Alexander had man on man action so I think it was much more gay. I respect your opinion, but I liked the movie. You get exactly what you expect. If you didn't like the movie, why did you see it twice ?

Saw it bootlegged on the PC once, and when we were heading to the theater, turns out the skytrain station fucked up and we were 45 minutes late for Pans Labyrinth and Letters for Iwo Jima. My buddies decided to see 300 again... Boredom ensues.

Every scene in this movie that didn't have someone getting chopped into pieces had boobs. That alone qualifies it as a frigging awesome movie in my book. Dialogue was uber-choppy, but that didn't really bother me (especially since some of the cornier quotes were apparently authentic).

My parents rented it last night, said it was absolute shit. Maybe because it was a shitty steadycam with huge bars.

I think so! 300 was killer! But I agree that the non-fight scenes were gay, I nearly died laughing when I saw the goat playing guitar. I still can't stop laughing.. A FUCKING GOAT PLAYED GUITAR!!!!! I still loved it anyways.

Strange. I loved "The 300 Spartans". It couldn't of been the obnoxious usage of CGI... The half-naked men every 10 seconds... The stupid dialogue... The first 30 minutes which were ... And the anti-climatic final battle - But no, the Persians didn't lose the 300 Spartans. They lost at sea in The Battle of Salamis by the genious Admiral Themistocles. Lawl @ History
