Bloodbound- Anyone heard this?
« on: July 30, 2006, 04:48:09 AM »

Wondering if anyone has heard the release from Bloodbound.    Its with Tad Morose's ex-singer Urban Breed, who if you've heard, is an awesome vocalist.   Sounds like some pretty decent stuff, and simply because he's the vocalist, I ordered it up.   Very sad that he left Tad Morose though.  At least Joe Comeau isn't a bad singer at all.

Anyways, i've got this one on the way in the mail, and its sort of a hard disc to find.  THe sound clips all sound pretty good, though, I'm not big on the whole make-up and satanic imagery when the music and lyrics don't really seem to suit it at all. heh.   Ah well.

Here's a link to the soundclips on their site.  http://www.dynamicform.se/bloodbound/Albums.asp

I was wondering which band Breed would take up.

Pity that I am not impressed by these samples at all. This sounds like just another Euro-power metal band musically... just good vocals.

Yeah, thats sort of my impression, although i'm optimistic there'll be some good things.   I'm hoping the mix sounds a little better on CD.   Eitherway, i'm confident the vocals will be good enough to carry whatever lack of greatness the band carries forth.   I also believe that Urban Breed is working hard on a solo effort, which might be something to keep an eye out for.

well, I must say, i'm actually pleasantly suprised with this album.  There isnt' any "bad song", mostly because Urban is strong enough to make even the somewhat generic tracks.  However, there is some very catchy tunes, with some great chorus' on here.   A lot of its riffing is very maiden-esque, as well as even the production sound itself.    I'd recommend the disk, but not for the stupid price I paid for it because of the "Japanese Import' or whatever junk it was.    Either way, Behind the Moon, Nosferatu, and Desdemonamelia are great songs.
