NS was the first political system to emerge that was based on the concept of a folkish state, where race and culture are the principal values of society as opposed to freedom, money etc.
Nah dude. Maybe NS and other variants of Fascism were the first to openly come out on such a platform, but as far as race and culture being the principal values of society go, that was pretty much the caveman logic since the start of time. These weren't the first ideologies to implement such backward thinking. Maybe the only idiots in the 20th century, but that's about it. That is why fascism/National Socialism etc. are ALWAYS said to be "Pre-Enlightenment" ideologies. Even though they were officially formulated after the enlightenment era of Europe. And because being "primitive" and "narrow-minded" is the "in-thing" to do in metal, such viewpoints are quite popular. Just that most people aren't aware of the self-destructive and contradictory process that Fascism and NS really are. The NS bands just seem to capitalise on the shock value of it and just scrape the surface of the ideology. I have yet to find a band that is truly "National Socialist". They're all fucking posers.
