My parents went to the Kowloon Walled City.  It was, in their words, a fucked up place

There's a (sort of) similar site about various places scattered around Ireland that are abandoned/fallen into ruin. V interesting read.

I think some of those places were filmed for that documental "earth without people". THAT'S fucked up.

Very interesting.Great pictures, too.I had no idea there were so many places just abandoned like that. The idiots refusing to move in Pennsylvania was funny.Stubbornness can be hazardous to your health. icon_cool

The only modern abandoned place that I was really aware of was Chernobyl, but it's not on the list.

Yeah, no shit - especially since it does mention Chernobyl.

Speaking of which - a lot of the pictures seem to be missing since they were hosted on Google, but there's still some stuff in there: http://www.kiddofspeed.com/

I watched some documentary recently explaining how there are numerous Mayan ruins deep in the Amazon untouched for all of these years due to their remote locations. They can't really be reached by automobile or plane.I guess the only way they would ever be explored is a team of experts hike for months deep in the brutal jungle.I don't see that happening.
