This afternoon's playlist.

Dream Theater - Live at the Marquee

Damn, why haven't I checked this out sooner. Fucking godly live album, I can't get over how bloody heavy "A Fortune in Lies" sounds. I never thought I'd headbang that hard to Dream Theater.

The Killing Hand sounds awesome too. They were on fire back then.

Accept- Blood of the Nations
This is still just too fucking good. Not a single bad track.
Root- The Temple in the Underworld
My god, this disc is amazing.

Kenziner-Timescape

I guess they've got a greatest hits album coming out soon, so I'm checking them out. I don't believe I've heard of them, but they were good.

Pharaoh - Bury the Light

So far it's really good. I can tell I'll definitely notice more and more things on further listens. Very detailed and melodious guitar harmonies.

Link is broken but if you want to hear the new Pharaoh songs just paste it in your browser. I agree this is proggy and badass.

Atypical, but yes.  I love how they have stretched their sound on every album.

Oh yes, this and the new Futures End are definitely at the top of my most anticipated list for 2012 at the moment.

Oh damn, I forgot about the new Futures End. I keep on getting the odd update about it on Facebook. laugh
That and Kreator should do me nice, and hopefully they'll be some more treats announced over the next few months.

Currently blasting the new Pharaoh album, seems damn cool so far but it isn't quite nailing me like the previous two did. Guitar work is really appearing as always though, Matt Johnsen literally is a riff master. I get the feeling that after around 5 or 6 listens I'll no doubt be loving this.

Also on the cards today is the new Psycroptic...
