Iced Earth always brings back memories for me. I'm still listening to Dystopia on a daily basis.

OZ - Burning Leather Michel's review is spot on. Absolutely, listening right now, as a matter of fact. Sounds great Strong album to be sure, thanks also for reminding me of Lovecraftian Dark, been a long time since I pulled that one off the shelf, listening to it while writing this. Swallow The Sun - Emerald Forest and the Blackbird ... The more I try to give this a chance the more put off I am, surely destined to wind up a many disappointments lists by the end of the year.

I'm very happy with this album. It keeps getting better and better. Stu's vocals are nice. The tone of his voice is very similar to Matt's, I think, and it's definitely growing on me.

Playing random songs in no particular order in an attempt to create a birthday playlist for my party. Power metal seems the most palatable for non-metalheads without having to cave in to some horrid pop songs.
Listening to Sonata Arctica at the moment.

Monstrosity-Spiritual Apocalypse
I really like this album. The guitar work is interesting. I actually prefer this over the older stuff with Corpsegrinder.Their new one this year should be good as well.

This afternoon's playlist.
Dream Theater - Live at the Marquee
Damn, why haven't I checked this out sooner. Fucking godly live album, I can't get over how bloody heavy "A Fortune in Lies" sounds. I never thought I'd headbang that hard to Dream Theater.
