Rage - Strings to a Web

This is alright. Better than the last one so far but not blowing me away. A bit too cheery for this band.

Listening to whatever I can find of Nazxul's Iconoclast and Draugnim's Northwind's Ire on youtube. Have to get these albums soon, loving the dense, epic sound. The song Oath (Fides Ressurection) is amazing.

Also having a listen to the three songs so far unveiled on myspace from Nightbringer's upcoming album Apocalypse Sun.

Really dark, heavy and murky, huh? It will take some time to digest, but I really do enjoy the bleak melancholia and oppressive nature it conveys.

I completely agree. I like it right now and I think it will get better with each spin. Tom is one brooding mofo.

Triptykon - Eparistera Diamones
Scorpions - Sting in the Tail
Tarot - Suffer Our Pleasures

How is the new Scorpions?

2nd concert ever in 1984 on the World Wide Live tour.  They sounded great.

Winter's Verge - Tales of Tragedy

This is nowhere near as cool as 'Into the Enchanted Chamber'... might grow on me though.

It's wonderful. Not a metal album, of course, but wonderful. This is how you end a career. Just a ton of fun and a ton of memorable hooks. "The Spirit of Rock" and "The Best is Yet to Come" make the whole thing worth it and yet every song is fun and cool.

Symphony of Enchanted Lands, Dawn of Victory and Power of the Dragonflame were rather good, but after that....

Tarot - Gravity of Light  smokin - this is quite cool, and will probably need to gel a bit once I get used to the fresh new sound of theirs. More streamlined, a bit calmer, but still unbelievably intelligent, standoffish and stylish.
Icarus Witch - Songs for the Lost  ylsuper two years later and with no more prejudice, this sounds fucking great and I regret giving it only a 3.75
While Heaven Wept - Vast Oceans Lacrymose...to be continued, when I play this one
