Seeing that it only comes out in October, that's quite early... How is it?
Probably their best so far. Very strong songs, a lot of variation. Best song they've ever done in "Heading For The Dawn". Very catchy power metal overall. I hope they see a lot of success with it.

The only thing tearing me away from Accept (besides shit for reviews) is the Atlantean Kodex. 1 and 1A of the year, thus far. Atlantean Kodex - The Golden Bough

The new Accept is really cool, but I prefer Herman Frank personally, just a little faster and more intricate composition-wise, with the same amount of ass kicking. I was toying with giving it around a 4.25, but I see Mike REALLY liked it.
The new Kamelot, Briton Rites and Maiden are my faves for the year so far.

Yeah, 4-4.25 sounds about right.

I gave Accept extra points for surprising me so completely with how good Blood of the Nations is and for capturing their old sound with out simply rehashing it. Since they haven't released anything worthwhile since about 1986, I feel the score is justified.

Hell yeah, about to go into my third consecutive spin of the day. Vast Oceans Lachrymose has to be one of the most moving albums I've ever heard.
