Why are you guys getting so upset over some people not enjoying Iconoclast?  It's not like you created the album or get paid for getting other people to like it.

Big difference between saying "I don't like album xxx" and saying retarded shit to try and justify your opinion.

Friendly debating =/= getting upset.
I always get the Battle"x" bands confused. I'll have to try and get a hold of it.
When people's comments include fuck and bullshit, it seems like someone's getting upset.  Maybe that's just how you talk all the time.  Tone is impossible to detect through text.

Off the top of my head I can only think of two Battle bands you need to know; Battlerage and Battleroar.  Both are excellent.  I'm pretty sure there's a Battlesword/Battlefword, but I've never heard them, so I can't say if they are worth knowing.

I guess this is a good place to ask where I can purchase Crom's new one, since it's on a few lists?

It may not be out yet.  Not at amazon or iTunes.

I don't think Iconoclast is all that different from The Odyssey or whatever, I just stopped enjoying the band as much as I used to.

No, but I did just get Krux III and it is great. Mats Levin makes every project he is involved with better.

Obsequiae - Suspended in the Brume of Eos
Woods of Desolation - Torn Beyond Reason
Necros Christos - Doom of the Occult
Necrovorous - Funeral for the Sane
Riot - Immortal Soul
Satan's Host - By the Hands of the Devil
Doomsword - The Eternal Battle
Speedwolf - Ride with Death
Isole - Born from Shadows
Pagan's Mind - Heavenly Ecstasy
Antichrist - Forbidden World
Vektor - Outer Isolation

this is gonna change, I know it is, there's SO MANY albums I need to give more attention to, but I do enjoy all of these a lot. Oh and there's 12, 10 was too painful.

1. Symphony X - Iconoclast
2. Iced Earth - Dystopia
3. Sinister Realm - The Crystal Eye
4. Anthrax - Worship Music
5. Holy Martyr - Invincible
6. Dark Forest - Dawn Of Infinity
7. Hell - Human Remains
8. Riot - Immortal Soul
9. Krux III
10. Anvil - Juggernaut Of Justice
11 Stormzone - Zero To Rage
12. Megadeth - 13

Yeah, there's one more added to the list. Couldn't widdle it down to 10 no matter how hard  I tried.

No.  This was a GREAT year for metal (even if I mostly dig entirely different bands than on your list)

Ergh, getting to the point when I'm going to have to compile a list. Way too much good stuff, although nothing truly stands out as "album of the year" I think it's a joint bout between Anubis Gate and Dream Theater as far as I'm concerned!

Vulvagun are definitely a surprising late-year addition to my list.  ylsuper
