Albums in 2011
«

With the best of 2010 reminding me of all the great metal that came out this year, I was wondering what you guys are looking forward to for next year. I myself am extremely excited for new albums from Cauldron Born, Crom, Holy Martyr, Manilla Road, and Twisted Tower Dire. I know Symphony X and The Gates of Slumber are releasing new albums too. So what albums are you guys looking forward to?

I am also looking forward to a new release from Symphony X, as well as Amon Amarth and Destruction.

Pretty much, the albums you guys already mentioned.
However, I'm really anxious for the new Hibria. Pagan's Mind might be releasing a new one, too. I'm sort of looking forward to that one. If it's worse than the last one, which was pretty bad for them, the band is probably done.

Stratovarius, of course. These guys have been on fire lately. Dragonland is past due for a new album as well, and I hope it's as great as their past work.
Symphony X, Turisas, Sonata Arctica, Crimfall, Nightwish, Falconer, Crystallion, Desdemona, Amorphis, Rush, and many more have albums announced. I'm afraid it might be as great a year as 2010, which would mean some serious strain on my professional career.

New Symphony X.
Also will be hoping beyond hope that Road Salt 2 comes out, or is at least announced.

Good news about Holy Martyr - didn't know about that one.
Among others I look forward to new albums by Wishdoom, Argus, Lamp of Thoth, Orchid, Sinister Realm, Pale Divine, Vinum Sabbatum, Altar of Oblivion and probably many others I have not heard about.
Does anybody know if Arkham Witch has an album in the works?
And how about Howie/Briton Rites? Seem to recall reading somewhere, that he has already written some songs...

I know Moonsorrow has a new album coming early next year and so does Korpiklaani.
I think Primordial may have something new next year, too.

The following have either been confirmed or were to be released this year:
Angel Dust - Tales Of Ashes And Dust
Cellador - For All Or Nothing
Cloudscape - New Era
Evergrey - Glorious Collision
Evil Masquerade - Pentagram
Falconer - Armod
Iron Mask - Black As Death
Rhapsody Of Fire - From Chaos To Eternity
Serenity - Death & Legacy
Stormwarrior - Heathen Warrior
Stratovarius - Elysium
Visions Of Atlantis - Delta
And I believe the following bands are working or planning to work on a new album too: Adagio, Anubis Gate, Circus Maximus, Dragonland, Dream Theater, Edguy, Illusion Suite, Nightwish, Redemption, Symphony X and Theocracy.
Should be a good year, I'd say.

Wasn't aware of the new Serenity, that's great. And Cellador? Wishing them better luck than last time.

I think Wintersun's Time is finally supposed come out in 2011. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I'm hoping for the second Timeless Miracle album. Got a good feeling about it this time, it even has a title!

While we're thinking wishfully, how about a new Lost Horizon? They've had clips up for like a year, but that's it.
