I love goth, post punk and all its affiliates, enjoy a bit of industrial and a variety of other random stuff. Metal is my main pleasure though

Lots of progressive rock, folk music, art music (mostly romantic-era), some jazz, a little electronica, etc.
I'm a classicaly trained musician who gave up in this economy and went back to school for business to support a family, so I've a lot of background in non-metal music :P

Nothing wrong with being well rounded. I have an ear for pitch and have studied music theory for guitar for awhile. I tend to enjoy music with majestic vocal harmonies and beautiful passages. It could be Celtic babes or whatever. If it's pleasing I like it.

Same here, good melodies call no single genre home. What you mentioned is part of the reason I dig my cheesy symphonic power metal so much.

I like classical power metal better myself, as in Dionysus, Time Requiem, Majestic, At Vance, Treasure Land, and stuff like that. Rhapsody, Dark Moor and Sonata Artica never really did it for me for some reason.
