I never saw what was so funny about Beavis and Butthead. It's one of the most irritating thing I've seen on TV. Hmmm.... OK maybe not nowadays, but back then, yeah.

Beavis And Butthead, IMO, did do a pretty good job of ripping on the the music that was popular then, especially all the grunge and alternative bands that were all the rage, even if they did also rip on a few metal bands. Personally I think the crap that the mainstream music industry somehow sees fit to inflict on us today needs to be ripped on in the worst way imaginable. I'd LOVE to see them rip on American Idol, 50 Cent, Nickleback, Lady Gag Me- I could see that; "Huh-huh. huh-huh, Gaga.., huh-huh, Gaga,... lady, lady, lady looks like a duuude!!..."

It was funny for a couple of minutes then quickly went stale.

The horrified looks on Beavis and Butthead's faces when they actually SAW the video for "Beakin' the Law" was pretty funny, though.

Basing someones intelligence purely on what music they listen to is pure ignorance, and is pretty fucking stupid itself tbh. Listening to a non-mainstream form of music does not equal intelligence. It's just another facade of hipster-ism really. These people are pretty much the most mind numbingly worst people to talk to as well.
