Beavis And Butthead May Make A Comeback

Beavis And Butthead Set For A Comeback?

July 07, 2010 02:32 PM EDT

Could it be true? Could we see a comeback? I remember Beavis and Butthead, and I am sure I am not the only one. It was one of the first more adult cartoons that hit the airwaves, and it ruled MTV back in its day.

Today, we have news from Mike Judge, the man behind the two wild teens that he is trying to bring the series back to MTV. He has thirty episodes outlined at the moment. The series would stay the same, but it would be updated to today's music as Beavis and Butthead offer their thoughts on the hits on today's radio.

MTV hasn't grabbed the opportunity for this one yet. It has been thirteen years since we last saw Beavis and Butthead on MTV, but I would love to see them return. I used to watch them religiously when they were on air, and maybe MTV could have one series on air that actually played music videos.

For being a network for music television, they are severely lacking in that these days! What do you think? Would you tune in to see the new Beavis and Butthead?

YES!!!!

It would be nice if they had grown old and fat.

Lets just hope they haven't switched their AC/DC and Metallica tees for Avenged Sevenfold and Mastadon tees - that would suck heh heh heh heh.

Yup! Of course I could maybe see Stewart trading his Winger t-shirt for a Nickelback or Hinder tee.

I hope this doesn't come back, anyway. I hated it first time around. Just made all metallers look like idiots.

Maybe in the way we dress. But metallers are more intelligent overall than than the sheep who listen to radio.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. The music might be more intelligent...sometimes...but the fans come in all shades of dumb alike.

Yeah. Being dumb or not has nothing to do with the music someone listens to.  Sometimes we'll think so because we notice some specific group, but that's too small a sample to draw any such conclusion.

And after all, aren't metallers just sheep from another herd?

I believe that true metalheads are smarter than most people. In fact, I think you just  HAVE to be intelligent to SENSE and UNDERSTAND metal!
I'm not talking here about "casual metalhead", who has 2-3 Dimmu Borgir or Cradle T-shirts and use "metal atittude" just to impress chicks.
On a side note, I never understood the guys who states: 'Yeah, I WAS (!!!) metalfan in my youth...". Fuck! Either you're metal 'till death, either not! There's no other way!

It might be clicheic, but Manowar said it well:

"Our Hearts Are Filled With Metal And Masters We Have None
And We Will Die For Metal, Metal Heals, My Son
Brothers Of Metal
We Are Fighting With Power And Steel
Fighting For Metal Metal That's Real
Brothers Of Metal Will Always Be There
Standing Together With Hands In The Air "

on topic: I always watched METALOCALYPSE instead of "Beavis....".It's more ...bruuuutal!!! icon_razz headbang
