Dance of Death has some very good songs like "Rainmaker" and "Paschendale"
A Matter of Life and Death is a snore-fest.

I hope this new one actually rocks and doesn't try to be atmospheric and introspective the whole time.

A Matter of Life and Death is a great album. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Tons of wonderful songs and a lot of emotion put into it, and it rocks pretty fucking hard too.

I love Brave New World.  I was just listening to it a few weeks ago and found it has aged pretty well.  The other two are gay save for a few songs, which for the most part are on that set-list.

Well, well, okay, I misspoke.

What I meant is that Iron Maiden has never been consistently good at writing long songs. Alexander the Great (if you want to consider that "long") is my favorite Maiden song, so there! 

I feel that for most of the long songs on A Matter of Life and Death, they just don't mix it up enough to keep things interesting. They're just short songs padded out to long song length.

Glad I saw them on the Somewhere Back in Time tour.  You couldn't pay me to see a show with that lineup.  What is it with "Fear of the Dark"???
