That would be pence, correct?  My first exposure to British currency was through Monty Python and when they would say things like "10 pounds, 12 and 6" I would be totally confused!  When I went to Scotland in 1999 (to visit the family homestead outside of Stirling) I think it was a bit simpler, but we wold still just hand people money and accept our change unquestioningly.

Yeah the old Monty Python stuff was all pre-decimalisation - don't understand how all that crap worked myself (before my time).
