Let's see if I can explain this...my english is not perfect...
My current training program is like this: One day I will train breast, triceps and legs. The next day I will train back, shoulder and biceps. I take a few days rest and repeat. I do 3 "sets" of each exercise 5-8 times, with 30-35 kilos, currently. I've heard the muscles have to rest at least 48 hours before you can train them again, is this true? I've also heard that chocolate milk helps.

You should work groups out accordingly, for instance work out chest, biceps and triceps on the same day. As for how you lift, I cannot really help you, as I train endurance. I am sure Sirliftsalot can assist you though.
As for the 48 hours, you are correct

I recommend doing each muscle group only once a week as to give it plenty of rest. You need to give it enough rest in order for the muscle to grow. It's also very important to get as much protein in as possible. Try to do it with shakes, bars, and lean meats. Muscles that can and probably should be worked everyday however would include abs and cardio. I found that the schedule that works really well for me is Monday-chest, triceps Wednesday-legs Friday-biceps, back, shoulders. I assume when you say "times" you mean reps? 3 sets of around 8 reps is a pretty good number to work with. I usually do 5 sets instead of 3 like you do because the first one or two just get the muscles waking up. Other than calling your chest breast, your English seemed fine. It's like this thread was made with me in mind.

Wow, I just got a bowflex-esque thing in the garage and was about to start a thread just like this.
Incredible.
Thanks for the advice Liftsalot, but since I'm a 100% noob to working out (excluding the usually P.E. class excersizes like running, push ups, sit ups, etc.) that information proved incredibly useful.

Wow, that's more than our usual day in P.E freshman year
. All we ever did was walk 10 laps then go and sit down.

I would recommend working out at least 3 days a week instead of just 2. Maybe split your muscles groups up, such as: Monday - chest/tris, tuesday - back/bis, wednesday - shoulders, and thursday - legs. That's about how I work out for a week. Also its good to switch up your routine every so often, maybe do chest on wednesday instead of monday, stuff like that. Also what's good to do when you first start working out is to do your max out weight for each major muscle group in order to see how strong you are, and then you can figure out good weight to use when you do your sets. I would suggest that if you are fairly new to working out that you should do 3 sets of about 10-12 reps for each routine, and make sure the weight is heavy enough so its hard to do at the 10th rep. if you are trying to bulk or gain muscle you should be taking protein such as some form of powder or whatever, and maybe some muscle gain such as creatine or NO2. O also when you first get into the gym or whereever you work out, its good to do a warm-up to get your body loose and warm. Maybe jog for like 10 minutes, or ride the bike for 10 minutes, something like that, and then stretch. Then, the first set you do should be a warm-up set, really light weight at least 15 reps.
I'm really into fitness and working out, I've been going to the gym and on a work out plan for over a year now. Also I'm currently taking a Personal Training class at the college. Hopefully some of that helped.

I'm cancelling my Xfit membership 'cause it's sucking my Visa dry. Plus I'm too intimidated to pump iron amongst a bunch of closet queens who come to me from behind and say, 'I fancy you mate' or some shit like that.
As of this morning I play with dumbbells in the basement.

Heh I used to do weights for a while, my dad told me to :P.... I stopped for a while because I have too much school work on, but I will take it up again soon enough. It's in the blood, my grandpa was a champion body builder.
I only used free weights, none of this machine and cable shit.
