It's odd.  He wasn't a great actor and he wasn't in any movies I really liked, but he always seemed like a decent guy.  I could make a joke about "now there's no need to fear for a Roadhouse sequel" but it actually is kind of sad.

I feel the same way. He was doing this TV series, The Beast, until the bitter end. That was brave, he fought to the last.

All the movies mentioned above are worthy, with the exception of Red Dawn of course. He also did an amazing job in Donnie Darko although it was a departure from "character".
