That's because the old index.html page was still in your browser's cache.

A couple of things I know about:

- The list of topics on the board (say, when you click on "Metal Discussions") doesn't take up the screen's width, but the other screens on the board do.
- Some lists (reviews, interviews, editorials, ...) no longer use the full width
- Pages that used to be centered (trivia, search, links, contact, about, ...) are no longer centered.

I don't know why ONE page on the board doesn't behave like the others... Weird.  For the other stuff, I haven't figured out why they don't use the available space yet.  I've been at this for nearly 4 hours, I need a break.

The menu scrolls off the page with Internet Explorer - I don't know how I missed that.  It works fine with all other browsers.  FUCK!  Internet Explorer = piece of shit.

Unfortunately, I'm using IE and the layout is not normal.

The myspace/facebook/twitter links are in the middle of the page and break up anything I'm looking at.  For instance, the message boards sroll BEHIND a black bar with those links in it.

the quicklinks that used to be on the left are WAY over on the right and are scrolling off the page.

The metalcrypt icon (with the scythe) is also way off to the right.

What version of IE are you using?  It works fine in 8.0.

Also, can you empty your browser's cache.  I had some weird stuff happen before I did that.

I'm using IE 7, I'll try to upgrade and see what happens.  Also, I'm going to show my ignorance, but how do I empty the browser cache?  I just did a disk cleanup which gets rid of temporay files, cookies, etc.  Is that the same thing?

That's pretty much it, I guess.  Funny, I would expect problems with IE6 (ooold), not 7.

Yeah, I just bought this machine in April and IE7 was what it came with.  Oh, well, downloading IE8 as we speak.  Will need to go away for awhile to reboot.  Will report in when upgraded.

Actually I just fixed it in IE 7 (confirmed with someone over at Metal-Rules.)  Seems like a bug in IE 7.  Seriously, this works in every other browsers.  I would have had been done since mid-morning, but ended up spending the whole day on this just because of IE.

Shit, and I just upgraded.  I'm such a loser, cuz I hate changing ANYTHING on my computer.  I hate relearing where things are or how to do stuff.  Oh well, probably good for me to upgrade.  Still, it was fun to whine about it.
