I don't look like a stereotypical metalhead.  I've said this before, but most people are shocked when they find out I like metal.

Of course, part of the reason I don't look like a metalhead is because actually growing ANY hair is a prerequisite to growing long hair.  The baseball hat in my picture is not a fashion statement, my friends...

I had really long hair a few years ago when I was first getting into metal heavily and all, but I ended up liking it better short, so it stayed that way.

I have very short hair (usually clip that stuff once a week.)  A lot of people are surprised when they learn I like metal.  I'm running out of burial ground.

Me too. Apart from a Halford beard, I don't look like a metalhead at all. I look bookish. I wear glasses, I have no tattoos and I have short hair. I live in the Tropics, and it's very warm all year round. Futhermore, I'm the sweaty kind. I used to have a Rambo hairstyle long ago.

Why does almost everyone here look like a stereotypical Metalhead?

I mean, if you look at me, you would never be able to tell what sorta music I listen to. Unless I'm wearing a Manowar shirt, of course.

Hmmmm, that's a very interesting question. Maybe someone should do a scientific study on that.

I used to have long hair, really long hair. Then one day I decided it was too annoying and expensive to upkeep (gallons and gallons of shampoo and conditioner). Now I keep my hair extremely short, my hair grows out slowly so I shave it once every two or three months.
I stumbled upon these old photos of myself, just a few minutes ago.

Posing as black metal monks at a local gig, just to take the piss out of everyone. We knew most of the people at the gig, but it was fun taunting all those rich pompous pricks that lived close by. It was the most hilarious day ever, we even walked in the city like this...until we almost got arrested.   icon_evil

Dude, it's a scam. I've never put shampoo or conditioner in my hair (EVER) and I do just fine, after about three months the greasy stuff went away, and I think it looks good and clean now. Also, girls I meet at bars complement my hair then have sex with me. Don't buy shampoo!

If you don't wash your hair for a long enough time, it will naturally clean itself up.

I have short hair, though.

Thanks for the tip, but I don't plan on growing my hair again. Besides, all the girls I know say I look hotter with short hair  icon_rolleyes

But youdo trim it a little once in a while? Or nothing at all?

I look more like a punk/hardcore-kid than a metalhead now to be honest.
