Wow! 2 celeb deaths in 1 day- first Farrah Fawcett(of whom I had a poster on my closet door when I was 13) and now Jacko.

Anyway, the children are safe!

Say what you want about him, the man was a musical genius.

That's all I am going to say.

Finally.

Yah... don't think we're gonna hear the end of this one for a while, though...

Fuck him, he was a loonball pederast who was largely responsible for the abominable state of modern pop music.  He never wrote a single song that was moving or honest or real.  His videos were I-wish-I-wasn't-a-sissy bullshit posturing.  His music was overproduced, overhyped Motown wannabe shit.  He was a genius at being a crazy pansy-ass muppet, and that's about it.

There's a lot of things I'd call Whacko Jacko. Genius isn't one of them.

There comes a time, thief, when the jewels cease to sparkle, when the gold loses its luster, when the throne room becomes a prison, and all that is left is a father's love for his child.

He was a great performer with a recognizable voice and what he did he did it very well. His videos were amazing and in my opinion ahead of its time. While I have never been a die hard fan of Jackson, he'll be missed.

This is merciful.  He had become a sad caricature of a human being.

Maybe now Paul McCartney can get the rights to his Beatles songs back.

The term genius and "the best" can applied to individual fields. Pretty straightforward, Bob Dylan is a genius lyricist and songwriter, and is quite possibly the best in his field. Kris Kristofferson is a genius country music songwriter. Jim Matheos is a genius metal guitarist and metal songwriter. Michael Jackson was a genius pop songwriter as well as being a master of dance and image. He was the best at what he did.

There are all kinds of geniuses that are the best at what they do, but of course are useless at other things. Try to imagine Dylan writting a death metal song, for example. He wouldn't know how to go about it.

Michael was simply the best at what he did. No one could, can, or will ever match him.

Gonna catch hell for putting this on a metal site, but ah well.  Grin

Fuck him, people die every day and no one cares.  I would rather feel bad for a soldier dying in some pointless war instead of a retarded black man who wanted to be white dying of a random heart attack.  People should get their priorities straight and get over it. /end rant lol

There was a tribute thingy outside my favorite bar tonight... I've never been in a real fight before, but I hit a dude in the face and kicked one but missed and he still fell over, just to get in the front door... this is what hitting woman must feel like. I got Whiskey drunk and my regular status made the bar tenders put on The Pogues instead.

I seriously doubt such a crowd would gather if it started raining lesbians... fuck.
