Jazz-metal was a brief stage composd of Atheist, Pestilence and Cynic.

Then it moved on. Jazz-metal is necessarily jazz-fusion metal, and jazz-fusion has limited tricks where metal has infinite ones.

A progressive-instrumental metal band from the United States.

The band is formed by three legendary musicians: Tony Macalpine (guitar, keys), Billy Sheehan (bass), and Virgil Donati (drums).

Basically Tony Macalpine is the guy to look for when seeking out jazz and metal
