Well, I actually did order it... so I guess you can give it a go when I'm done (but give Sargon your money anyways!).


Yeah, in case y'all don't know yet/haven't figured it out, I know this guy.

Well, I received my copy last night, and I burned through your story before I went to sleep.  I loved the original premise of it, but I felt like it ran at a much higher pace than it was suited for.  The climax just kind of came and went with no real feeling of suspense or excitement.  I guess it just feels like you tried to cram a 40 page story into 12.  Also, when Drake was boarding the Venture, are you sure "a cannon ran out in his ear"?  Either "ran" has some obscure definition I'm unaware of, or you missed a typo.

Apart from that and the pacing, it was really good.  I'll get around to reading more of it tonight.  Congratulations on the release once again, you've officially gone farther in life than I ever will.

They announced the guidelines, and I wrote up a story and sent it in, and they liked it.  They only had 4-5 spots that were not invitation-only, so I was pretty excited to get in there.
