Favorite Media Player?

I am looking for a good media player to use on the PC.  I would like something that plays fairly well and has the ability to add songs or playlists to so I don't have to keep clicking on individual songs everytime to hear them.

I use Winamp to sync with the iPOD.  I use MusicMatch for other things.  Media Monkey isn't bad.

people actually ask this question? WINAMP! there is nothing better. It's compact, takes up very little processing power, has great skins(I've been using a Fallout skin for the past few years and it's so much better than the default), has pretty much all the options you'll ever need, etc.

I've used Musicmatch... it doesn't even compare. Can't say when it comes to iTunes.

I've always been using Winamp... I've tried a couple of others but I always returned to Winamp 

And winamp can display album art, but I think You have to find a skin that does this. The one I have now can display but there's some kind of problem and it doesnt....

I think the default "modern skin" displays album art.

Well i don't see any settings about album art. That's why I wanted to find another skin. But the one I'm using now is more functional for me even if the display album art function is problematic.

It's the "drone v1" skin by the way.

Skins are just one more thing I need to worry about when reinstalling, so I usually stick to the default skin.  Same goes for colours.

I use WinAmp now, and I don't have any major complaints with it, although it seems like newer versions are are becoming slower. I think it has to do with their increased focus on providing content. I used Musicmatch for a long time, and really liked it, but as my collection grew, it seemed to have trouble handling everything, and eventually I abandoned it. If it hadn't become so leaden with all the flashy images, etc, I would still be using it. I have always hated iTunes, however. The interface is cluttered, the music indexing is designed for people with small libraries, and some features of it are a chore to use.
