24 tonight...
« on: November 23, 2008, 03:17:04 PM »

Not sure if anyone here watches 24 - seems like forever since it was last on - but there's a 2-hour episode tonight: "24 - Redemption".  The seventh season starts on January 11, but I guess they wanted to remind people that they exist.  It's been something like a year and a half since season 6 ended...

From what I've heard and seen from the previews, this looks like it's going to be very different from the first 6 seasons. I'm going check it out even though I didn't like season 6 all that much. It seems like the odd numbered seasons tend to be better.

Hell yeah, I like it.  24 is one of only two shows I really follow during the TV season (other one being Law & Order - original).  I'm definitely going to check out the special tonight.

Season 6 set out to be the best, but it's as if they ran out of ideas around the 16th hour or so, if I recall correctly.  Definitely a let down.

I am looking forward to the new season.  Been watching this show since the beginning.  I remember thinking the idea of each show being an hour in one day being pretty cool.  I thought the show would have run out of steam before now, but even though it's always "the end of the world" I still get into it each season.

Days of our lives has been going on for more than 30 years with a new episode every day. Not that I watch it or anything. Any person can have unlimited ideas in a subject. Just look at the writers in Lost, it got so crazy most people stopped watching it.

According to Wikipedia, Guiding Light has been on since 1952, and it was on the radio for 15 years before that.
