Blade Runner is clearly a Fifth Element beater though icon_razz

I agree with that, too.  Heck, even Total Recall beats The Fifth Element, in my opinion.  It's one of my favourite sci-fi's and Arnold movies.  Another Philip K. Dick short story, too, (like Blade Runner).

As was The Minority Report, although I'm not so sure that one beats the Fifth Element  icon_razz

Philip K. Dick's short stories (and there are a LOT) are readily available in a series of collections.  The stories tend to be quite different from the movies and he is not afraid to leave the reader with a sense of dread or loss at the end.  Good stuff.

Minority Report is also one of my favourite movies.  In my opinion, it is better than Total Recall and The Fifth Element.

I consider them almost equal, but I'll give the slight edge to MR.  Both movies are high on my favourites list.

Never noticed this reply before.  Johhny Mnemonic was alright.  Definitely not worthy of "all-time favourite" though, in my opinion.  I actually first saw it when I was 11 when it come it in 1995.  I was a big action fan back then, and still am, and was happy to see Dolph Lundgren in his supporting role as a crazed religious dude.

Airplane I & Airplane II: The Sequel (comedic gold!)

On board the spaceship of Airplane II:
"Well, there is an asteriod that is coming at us, and it likely will hit us"
*people continue with normal activities*
Person riding the spaceship: "SHES HIDING SOMETHING! I KNOW IT!"
"Well... Were all out of coffee"
*Everyone starts jumping and screaming*

Also, all the classic Star Wars movies, and Hostile was pretty good.

Oh, and Saving Private Ryan.

I work with a guy who looks eerily similar to the leader of the Orphans.   icon_eek
