I guess so, I like some of their stuff. I'm more of a black metal fan myself.
I did see them live once and they put on a good show.
Might be the lack there of listening to all the albums...but from all the hype they get I'm sure they'll do just fine...

I've been wondering about something, though. Hermod's Ride to Hel is one of my favorite AA songs, are any of the songs on the new CD going to be the part 2?

they said they're working on a part 2, but that nothing was good enough just yet to include on this new CD.  so they're going to release a part 2, but not on this album.  i love this cover, and i'm really looking forward to the new album.  i'd like to get the one w/ the bobbleheads and the LP but i'm probably going to have to settle for the 2 CD+DVD set.

Listened to it today, and believe it or not it was my first taste of Amon Amarth, i must say i was impressed as I had a lot lower expectations,  Could anyone reccommend  any of their other albums, think i fancy checking out some of their back catalogue

Definitly the "Sorrow Throughout the Nine World" EP, "W/ Oden on out Side," and "Once sent from the Golden Hall.

That is just fanboying to the extreme.
It's a good album no doubt. 4/5 at best though.
