You can listen to the whole new album 'The Formation of Damnation'. Sounds modern without being too modern. Sometimes the vocals may be a tad '-corish', but that won't put me off... I'm not that old school. I will definitely get it.     headbang

The vocals don't sound much core-ish to me, but I don't like them very much in any case. Some of the guitar work is really cool though.

I don't really hear where the "core" comes in. They're a good mix of what they did on "The Gathering" and "Demonic" along with the regular 'clean' vocals.

I've been quite a bit out of touch lately, but this new Testament was something I wouldn't have passed up. This album simply smokes from beginning to end and I like every bit of it.

I quite like it, not sure if I like it as much as The Gathering though. I guess it needs more time to sink in.

Ahhhh...yup...yup...I think I am workin' a chubby!

One of my absolute favorite bands...it has been such a long time I had almost given up on this album. Thrilled to find out it is so close... headbang headbang headbang

Aww, shit, how did I miss this? It's really cool, but for some reason it sounds a lot like the newer Behemoth during the slower parts. Go spin Demigod if you don't get what I mean.

I think the album has three awesome songs. "More Than Meets The Eye", "The Evil Has Landed" and "Henchman Ride".

"Killing Season" and "Persecuted Won't Forget" are quite good ones too. In overall I think it's a pretty good album even if the 2-3 last ones aren't that good. And why don't he sing 'normal' in the titletrack, it would've kicked ass. As it is, I don't like the vocals on it.

Solid album, but the vocals aren't great in a few parts.
